A new Italian Ice shop recently opened up in the Blythewood area; Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. It’s just in time for those hot and steamy Columbia summers! My boys and I recently went to check it out and we all absolutely loved it!
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice offers Italian ice and soft servce ice cream. You can get them on their own or you can get them together as a gelati. What’s a gelati, you say? It’s Italian ice layered with soft serve ice cream and it is delicious! Especially when you try it with one of Jeremiah’s many toppings and add-ons.
There are over 30 different flavors of Italian ice to try! And with multiple layer-in options, plus the soft serve, the number of combinations you could try is endless!
On our trip to Jeremiah’s my boys and I tried the Oreo Mud Pie gelati (cookies and cream Italian ice layered with chocolate soft serve and Oreo cookie crumbles), the Cotton Candy Crunch gelati (cotton candy flavored Italian ice layered with vanilla soft serve and Nerds candy), and a Cookie Dough gelati (cookie dough Italian ice, vanilla/chocolate swirl soft serve, oreo crumble, and cookie dough bites). Each flavor was fantastic!
The other thing I enjoyed, as a mom of a child with food allergies, is that Jeremiah’s has a list of which allergens are in each treat. You can actually go on their website and filter the flavors by allergen in order to see which flavors are safe for your allergy kiddo. There are options that are free from dairy, gluten, peanut butter, tree nuts, and soy. They also have sugar free and vegan choices.
My family will definitely be visiting Jeremiah’s a lot this summer to cool us down on those steamy SC summer days! And you should too!
