Village at Sandhill lifestyle center located in the northeast area of Columbia, South Carolina. It is located halfway between Interstate 20 and Interstate 77 on Clemson Road at the intersection of Two Notch Road. It competes with Columbiana Centre and nearby Columbia Place.
Village at Sandhill was developed and is owned by Kahn Development Company. It originally opened in late 2004 and is still currently under construction. When it opened, its first tenants were *PLEX Indoor Sports, Rhodes Furniture, World Market and Super Bi-Lo.
The open-air center offers a mix of nationally and locally owned merchants and restaurants, as well as numerous national and region banks like Wells Fargo, Regions Bank, First Citizens Bank and BB&T. The national anchors include JC Penney, which opened in 2005, The Home Depot, which opened in 2006 and Belk, which opened in 2007.
Village at Sandhill’s latest expansion phase also includes the Promenade at Sandhill, a luxury condominium development located above retail shops.
Our History:
The Lexington County Recreation Commission was created by an act of the Legislature in 1968 as a Special Purpose District. The Commission as an active, functioning body with employees began operations in January, 1970. The organization began with no facilities and no budget and has since developed the many facilities and various programs enjoyed by the citizens today.On July 1, 1980, Lexington County Council requested the Commission absorb into its operation an existing senior citizen program, then administered by Richland Lexington Council on Aging.On July 1, 1982, we unofficially became the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission.

Sandhills Pediatrics traces our roots to the first pediatrician in the Southeast, Dr. William S. Weston, who began practicing in the early 1900′s. We were founded in 1975 by Dr. S. Nelson Weston and Dr. Charles A. James with the merger of their successful practices. Dr. Nelson Weston is the grandson of Dr. William S. Weston and also practiced with his father, Dr. William S. Weston, Jr. Dr. James founded his original practice in 1960. Our founders have since retired but we continue to carry their long and distinguished history of comprehensive pediatric care into the future.
Currently we have nineteen pediatricians, all of whom are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, to serve the needs of your children and adolescents. We have expanded to five convenient locations to better serve the entire Midlands region. The goal of Yoga Mama is to support and connect the community of expectant and new moms in Columbia SC through yoga. Yoga Mama specializes in working with pregnant women to help them prepare their bodies for labor using breath work and movement with prenatal yoga and guides new moms back into their bodies with postnatal yoga. Yoga Mama offers classes all over Columbia including Postnatal Yoga at the Rooted Community in Rosewood, Mom and Baby Yoga at Amsa Yoga studio, and private prenatal and postnatal yoga classes.
