5 Low-Effort Halloween Snacks Your Kids Will Love

0

Whether you’re short on time or just feeling kind of lazy, but want to do something special for your kiddos for Halloween, I have a few easy Halloween snack recipes to share with you. These cute ideas are guaranteed to excite your kids and leave you looking like a Pinterest Mom (with minimal effort)!

In each of these recipes, there’s no baking required, measurements don’t really matter, and the kids can safely help. And if you can’t make a stop at the store for the exact ingredients I mention, shop your kitchen to substitute with what you’ve got. The point here is to inspire you to try something new while making fun Halloween memories with your family. I have made all of these with my little ones and they’re already begging to make them again!

1. Halloween Snack Mix

This mix is a mouthwatering blend of sweet and salty! You can leave it in a large bowl or separate it into plastic bags or cups to make individual servings. Our Halloween snack mix has Bugles, popcorn, pretzels, pumpkin spice Cheerios, candy corn, and candy eyeballs. Just start pouring in your ingredients, use a wooden spoon to gently mix, and dig in!

2. Pumpkin Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Two words: cookie cutters. I bought a set of Halloween cookie cutters, and they instantly add a flair to anything I feed my kids. For this lunch board, I made grilled cheese sandwiches and used a cookie cutter to carve pumpkin shapes out of each sandwich. Cookie cutters work awesome on bread, tortillas, cheese, lunchmeat, or to hold small snacks and pieces of candy.

3. Monster Bark

I suppose this is much more of a treat than a snack, but I love Monster Bark because you can add different toppings to make it fit any occasion.

You’re going to start by pouring the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips into two different glass bowls. Melt them by microwaving each bowl in 15-20 second intervals, stirring to be sure the chocolate didn’t burn. Use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate into an even layer on a silicone baking mat or sheet of wax paper.

While the chocolate is still hot, sprinkle on your toppings. I used Oreo pieces, candy eyeballs, and Halloween sprinkles. Let the chocolate cool, either on the counter or in the fridge, and then break into pieces and enjoy!

4. Sandwich Cracker Spiders

For these spiders, you can use peanut butter sandwich crackers or Oreos (or both!). Open one side and arrange eight pretzel sticks around the edges. If you need help getting the pretzels to stick, you can always use more peanut butter or frosting. After you put the top cracker or cookie back on, finish off with a couple of candy eyeballs. Spiders never looked more adorable!

5. Jack-O-Lantern Snack Board

To make this, I literally rummaged through my fridge and cupboards and pulled out every orange food I could find. I used Colby Jack cheese, orange slices, carrot sticks, goldfish, and candy corn. Raisins made great eyes and a mouth, but anything black will work, like olives, licorice, or chocolate chips. I finished off with cucumber slices to make a stem.

What yummy Halloween snacks would you add to this list?
