Columbia Mom Eats :: O’Hara’s Bakery Cafe

Downtown Lexington is home to Icehouse Amphitheater, several local shops, and many fantastic places to eat, including O’Hara’s Bakery Cafe.

O’Hara’s Bakery Cafe is one of the few local places where you can start your day with a pastry and caffeinated drink of choice or end a fabulous Friday night date with drinks and dessert. It has become one of my favorite places to grab a treat after I drop my daughter off for preschool.

As you walk through the back door of the cafe, you’ll notice people in the kitchen making and decorating beautiful pastries and cakes for the dessert case up front. The sitting area of the restaurant has a feel that is somehow both modern and classic. Several work from home employees sit at the tables with their laptops open, checking their emails as the sip their coffee.

Breakfast patrons can choose from a variety of morning pastries, cheddar biscuits, or the quiche of the day. There’s really not a bad choice to be made.

If you’re looking for something a little more decadent, check out the dessert case at the front of the restaurant. O’Hara’s has a huge selection of beautiful cakes that changes often. This cafe offers something for everyone!

O’hara’s also has a fully stocked bar, so you can celebrate life events with your girlfriends over mimosas or end your date night with an espresso martini. I look forward to going back and trying some of their concoctions when I am no longer pregnant.

O’haras Bakery Cafe is located at 121 East Main Street in Lexington. There is parking behind the restaurant or street parking in the area.
