If you have been around for the month of October, you will recognize Northeast Methodist Church as the “pumpkin” church, which is their signature youth fundraiser event. The patch has expanded each year by adding new creative elements. For 24 years, they have filled their yard with a semi-truck load of pumpkins. A few examples of how funds are used include providing scholarships for students to attend church retreats, offsetting the costs of youth events, purchasing equipment for youth, and basically wherever there is a need within the group. Additionally, each year the youth choose a mission project to donate part of their earnings.
