Star-Studded Guests
And it gets better! Hoot Gibson, the astronaut extraordinaire with Space Shuttle missions under his belt, and Tammie Jo Schults, one of the first female F/A-18 Hornet pilots in the U.S. Navy, showed up to add some serious star power. Their excitement about the new space for families was obvious and inspiring. As Hoot Gibson said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, “This is going to inspire future scientists and future engineers.”
