5 Reasons Burn Boot Camp is a Great Gym for Moms

0

When I first moved to the Columbia area, I was eager to get into a workout routine. Exercise has always been a part of my life whether it be through competing in sports, working out at a gym, or exercising at home. It took me a year of boring home workout routines until I found Burn Boot Camp in Lexington. Little did I know, there was a community of moms working out there and it quickly became clear as to why.

1. They have complimentary child care

Complimentary child care is so crucial to allowing moms freedom to get a workout in during their day. Burn Boot Camp has a playroom with wonderful and friendly childcare givers that will watch your kids as little as eight weeks old up 12 years old. The playroom is right next to the gym with a little peak through window you can look through during your workout to check in on your child.

2. Their workouts are all 45 minutes long

This is a perfect amount of time for busy moms to commit to working out. The workout, or “camps” as they are called, begin with a five-minute warm-up, followed by a quick but intense workout, and end with a cool-down. This is short enough to squeeze into a busy day but also long enough to have some dedicated focused time for a solid workout.

3. They have a variety of camp times

With camps offered Monday through Saturday as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 6 p.m., there is always a feasible option to match a mom’s constantly fluctuating schedule. With my infant’s daily routine changing so much over the first year, I came to every class time available. I was so thankful for the different options.

4. Trainers are also participants

One sign of good programing is if the coaches or trainers do the same workout. At Burn Boot Camp all the trainers also participate in the camps. It is motivating to have them not only cheering you on but also putting in the work alongside you.

5. There are unlimited programs

From strength, to speed, to conditioning, I know I will never do the same workout twice. Burn Boot Camps creative and challenging programing takes mental load off me to come up with my workout routine for the day. I can just show up and know whether it’s a leg day, metabolic conditioning day, or upper body strength day, I will get a complete and balanced workout.

I’ve been going to Burn Boot Camp in Lexington and loving it. There are other locations in the Columbia are including Irmo, Forest Acres, and the Northeast. Check out their website to find out more information and a gym with a community of moms working out near you.
