What We Love About It

My son, of course, LOVES the playground and couldn’t stay away from it. From going down ALL of the slides to climbing as high as he could, he was thrilled to be there! Each time that I’ve visited, there have been other families with young children, and my child is more than happy to talk and play with them.

I love all of the green space provided at the park, and it isn’t far from the playground, so you can easily pull out a picnic blanket, have a seat, and watch your children play. There are so many trees and flowers nearby, and you can peacefully enjoy watching them sway in the breeze.

My absolute favorite part of the park is the creek and bridge. It’s so serene, and my son and I enjoy watching the water flow over the rocks. I also have to say that this is a beautiful backdrop for impromptu photos!

Around the corner from the creek is more green space with a vintage train on display at the edge of the grass. There’s also additional seating, if you happen to decide to leave the picnic blanket at home.

Things to Be Aware Of

  • Restrooms can be found across the bridge over the creek, however, keep in mind that it’s a bit of a hike, and the area might be somewhat muddy, at times.
  • Tiny insects are out and about at this park, so bring the bug spray!
  • While I have been lucky to have never come across one at this park, the trails have been known to be home to snakes, so be on the lookout!
